Late yesterday afternoon Sir Paul Beresford. the Conservative candidate and MP for Mole Valley from 1997, turned up on my doorstep after dark with a letter threatening legal action against me and demanding that I scrap my election literature - which would have largely killed off my campaign. It was a very intimidating moment.
